There's no way he can say he didn't have this planned all along because he too quickly filed for separation in preparation for divorce! It looks like the rumors are true: Sherri Shepherd and her husband of three years are getting a divorce.
According to reports, Lamar Sally filed to end their marriage on May 2. Although he’s seeking a divorce, he requested a legal separation because under California law there’s a six month residency requirement.TMZ says he’s only lived in L.A. for three months so in August he plans to change the legal documents and check the divorce box.
Not only is the TV writer asking for spousal support from his celebrity wife, he’s requesting for full legal and physical custody of their unborn child. The estranged lovebirds currently have a baby on the way via a surrogate mother. According to the separation filing, Sal only wants Sherri to have visitation rights. Lamar Sally Jr.’s due date is on July 28.
And as far as their prenup, he’s claiming it’s invalid due to fraud!
Sources say the 43-year-old Sally teamed up with celebrity lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, the same guy who famously represented Kevin Federline during his divorce from Britney Spears.
We can see this is going to get messy! Sherri has yet to release a statement.
