Chess Coach Wilson facing trial July 14th

Approximately one week ago, the Columbus Dispatch a story broke about F. Leon Wilson, highly-regarded coach and founder of both The Chess Learning Center and the KnightMare Chess Club. Sources in Columbus, Ohio report that Wilson was arrested on charges of inappropriate contact with a minor during a coaching session.
A 4-year old girl told her father that Wilson touched her improperly on April 7th at the Prep Academy School in Polaris. The father reported the matter to the Delaware County April 9th to authorities and based on the singular testimony of the girl, Wilson was arrested after he returned from an overseas chess tournament.
Wilson, 61, was in Delaware County Common Pleas Court last Friday on May 1st and plead “not guilty” to counts of “gross sexual imposition”. He is free after posting the $250,000 bond. The initial $500,000 municipal court bond levied by the Delaware County Jail was reduced to $250,000 because the adjustment of the charge from “rape” to “gross sexual imposition”.

Wilson initially faced a charge of rape, a first-degree felony, in Delaware Municipal Court, but that charge was dismissed pursuant to the grand jury’s indictment. (see article)

Although Wilson maintains his innocence, several of the schools have immediately cut ties. This amounts to more than a hundred chess players and more than a dozen schools. Wilson has been teaching chess for the better part of a decade is an active tournament competitor and a Life Member of the United States Chess Federation (USCF). He also has active teaching certifications with the USCF and FIDE, the world chess federation.

As soon as we learned of this matter we immediately contacted the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department to offer our full cooperation and assistance.
While we are aware that Mr. Wilson has been arrested, we do not know what if any formal charges will be formally pursued, nor are we privy to the status of the investigation. In the meantime, we have suspended after-school chess classes indefinitely.
We do everything in our power to ensure that every single person who comes into contact with our children is safe, trustworthy and beyond reproach. We regularly enlist the services of outside experts with extensive law enforcement experience, including experience with the U.S. Secret Service and the Crimes Against Children Task Force, to ensure that our security protocols are as strong as possible. A thorough background check on the accused individual found no cause for concern. (see article)

On Wilson’s website, it is mentioned that he had passed background checks by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (OBCI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

After the first accusation, two other charges against Wilson have been launched. One based on the accusations of a 7-year old girl at the Bexley Academy and a young lady who was 13 when she alleged Wilson abused her 10 years ago. Although the mother got the police involved in the latter case, no charges were brought. The mother stated in the interview with WBNS-10TV that “it was her word against his”. There is a legal process in these instances to determine whether such charges have merit. It remains unclear why that process was not followed. Authorities in Delaware County are determining whether that case is relevant to the recent accusations.
As far as the current cases, Delaware County sheriff’s spokesperson Tracy Whited, could not provide any details about what occurred in any of the cases. Wilson appeared on a video in his prison-issued orange jumpsuit. While leaving the hearing, the cameras followed him after which the exasperated Wilson uttered, “Not guilty.” No other information about the accusations has been released.
Video by WBNS-10TV. The Chess Drum’s text messages to Wilson have not been returned. It is likely that he has been told by his attorney not to give statements to journalists. Thus far, the public has not heard Wilson’s side and the story has been spread around the globe via news syndication. Lori Kurtzman, who ran one of the breaking reports, told The Chess Drum that she is looking for people in the chess community who are especially close to him in an effort to provide some balance to the story.
At this point, Wilson has been presented to the world as a child molester and sexual predator prior to being proven guilty. His ultimate fate rides on the testimony of a 4-year old and 7-year old. Nevertheless, even if he is proven to be innocent, it may have irreparable damage to his reputation as a chess teacher. There are a number of questions that will be raised in this case (and perhaps the 10-year old case), but certainly there has to be balance in how Mr. Wilson has been characterized in order that he receive fairness in his trial.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. --

Former NFL running back Lawrence Phillips was found dead in his California prison cell early Wednesday, and officials said they suspect suicide.

Guards at Kern Valley State Prison found Phillips, 40, unresponsive in his cell shortly after midnight. He was taken to an outside hospital and pronounced dead about 1:30 a.m., the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said.

He had been housed alone in a segregation cell since April 2013 after he was suspected of killing his cellmate. A Kern County judge had ruled Tuesday that there was enough evidence to try Phillips in the death of Damion Soward, 37.

Phillips played for the St. Louis Rams before being released in 1997 for insubordination. He also played for the Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers.

He was once one of the top U.S. college football players at Nebraska.

Phillips was sent to prison in 2008 to serve a sentence of more than 31 years after he was convicted of twice choking his girlfriend in 2005 in San Diego and of driving his car into three teens later that year after a pickup football game in Los Angeles.

He was sentenced for inflicting great bodily injury involving domestic violence, corporal injury to a spouse, false imprisonment and vehicle theft.

Phillips was housed with about 3,900 other inmates in the prison about 80 miles south of Fresno in California's Central Valley.

The same week the Hanover Theater in Worcester Massachusetts announced that they were canceling Bill Cosby’s show next month, news broke that Beverly Johnson, one of near 30 women who claimed she was drugged by Cosby, was actually telling a big fat lie.
In a recent issue of Vanity Fair, Johnson recounted her alleged encounter with Cosby, telling the publication that she was drugged by the comedian during a coffee meeting at his New York brownstone. But according to Johnson’s former manager, Don Gibble, the only encounter Johnson ever had with Cosby was a brunch date with him and his wife, Camille. “It was odd to me that she changed her story. She said [she was] drugged and raped. I just remember that was not the conversation we had. And we had it repeatedly,” Gibble told The Daily Caller.
“It was brunch. It was just one time. It was a typical nice pleasant experience. It can be easily proven that Camille Cosby was at that brunch, so it was kind of dumb for her to lie,” he said.
Gibble, who represented Beverly in the 90’s added, “Basically, she only had a good experience with him, so if he had been producing something at that time I could have easily called that office and gotten her an appointment.”
He then refereed to Beverly switching up her story during a recent appearance on the view, saying, “It was ridiculous, I thought this was insane.”

For decades, the United States had sought to destabilize and overthrow the Cuban government. But the most recent attempt to antagonize the Castro regime may have been the strangest.

The effort involved the United States Agency for International Development and its attempts to infiltrate the Cuban hip-hop scene. It wanted to “break the information blockade” and inspire young people to rise up against the Castro regime through the power of rap and dance.

The 2009 plan mixed politics and popular music, and was as much a battle of the bands as a battle for hearts and minds. Think of it as Bay of Pigs 2: Electric Boogaloo.

The plan failed. Worse, it disrupted the nascent Cuban hip-hop scene and neutralized its political energy. The Castros remain in power and in January 2015, Pres. Barack Obama began attempts to normalize relations with Cuba.

This diplomatic approach began just four years after America’s latest, strangest attempt to overthrow the Castro government collapsed.

Hip-hop arrived in Cuba in the 1980s and originally centered on break-dancing. It gained popularity throughout the 1990s and 2000s, and turned political as Cubans experienced the hardships of the country’s post-Cold War economic decline.

The Cuban government initially treated hip-hop and rap in much the same way it dealt with other imported music. The Ministry of Culture didn’t ban it, but it didn’t support it either.

That changed in 2002 when the ministry created the Cuban Rap Agency. The agency supported hip-hop on the island and promoted Cuba’s hip-hop stars abroad.

The government endorsed the genre, provided the performers toed the communist party’s line. The Castro government banned outspoken critics such as the rap group Los Aldeanos from performing publicly in Havana.

That censorship forced the group to join the Cuban hip-hop underground, despite the group’s popularity.

Adversaries of the Castro regime saw a golden opportunity. The growing popularity of the genre, the performers’ political emphasis and the Cuban government’s vacillation between repressing and ignoring the groups might serve America’s interests.

Enter USAID. Founded in 1961 by the John F. Kennedy administration, USAID’s mission statement “highlights two complementary and intrinsically linked goals — ending extreme poverty and promoting the development of resilient, democratic societies that are able to realize their potential.”

That seems innocent enough, but critics have accused USAID of possessing direct links to the CIA, including involvement for decades in covert activities abroad.

“In South Vietnam, the U.S. Agency for International Development [USAID] provided cover for CIA operatives so widely that the two became almost synonymous,” investigative journalist Jeff Stein wrote in a 2010 Washington Post column.

Many Latin American governments and newspapers have accused USAID of influencing elections, supporting dictators and establishing media programs to undermine democratically elected governments.

Because of its reputation as a front agency, USAID cannot legally operate within some countries, including Cuba. So when the agency decided to infiltrate the Cuban hip-hop scene in 2009, USAID took a different route — it subcontracted the work out to another organization.

USAID gave Creative Associates International — a development company based in Washington, D.C. — a contract to coordinate a multimillion-dollar plan in Cuba that involved promoting hip-hop performers and festivals.

The company also created a “Cuban Twitter” platform called ZunZuneo and brought young activists from other Latin American nations to Cuba to inspire dissent.

Serbian contractor Rajko Bozic headed the Creative Associates hip-hop program. Inspired by the student movement’s protest concerts that helped destabilize former Serbian Pres. Slobodan Milosevic in 2000, Bozic posed as a promoter.

He sought to enlist Cuban rap star and Los Aldeanos front man Aldo Rodriguez to ignite a youth-led movement that would topple the Castros.

Rodriguez and Los Aldeanos were perfect for the mission. The Cuban hip-hop scene adored their music and respected their outspoken lyrics criticizing the Castro government.

They had already been under scrutiny for the songs El Rap es Guerra [“Rap is War”] and Viva Cuba Libre [“Long Live Free Cuba.”]

“I’m tired of following their plan / Socialism or Death is not a slogan,” Los Aldeanos raps in one song. “People marching blind, you have no credibility / Go and tell the captain this ship’s sinking rapidly,” they say in another.

Bozic’s goal was to intensify government pressure on Los Aldeanos and foment hostility towards the government’s oppressive censorship.

But Bozic never told Los Aldeanos his aims or that he worked for USAID. According to the Associated Press, he told Rodriguez he “worked in alternative media and marketing” and offered to produce a TV series on the group as well as other young music artists.

Bozic said he would distribute the series via DVD and thumb drive to circumvent Cuban censors.

Although the Cuban regime had banned the group from publicly performing in Havana, Los Aldeanos put on a concert for 150 fans in Candelaria on June 5, 2009.

Bozic and his crew filmed the show, and kept the cameras going when the police showed up afterwards to arrest Rodriguez. But the crew ducked away before attracting attention to themselves.

Soon after Rodriguez’s arrest, Bozic spent two days trying to convince Colombian rock sensation Juanes to allow Los Aldeanos to open for him at his concert scheduled for Havana in September 2009.

While Bozic worked with rap artists, Creative Associates pursued social media. It brought computer equipment into the country to set up its illegal Internet network and the ZunZuneo social media platform.

At its peak, ZunZuneo had 40,000 users according to the AP, or 68,000 users according to a post titled “Eight Facts About ZunZuneo” on USAID’s official blog.

Creative Associates used the platform to blast out hundreds of thousands of texts to its users asking if they thought Los Aldeanos should join Juanes on stage in the lead up to the Havana concert. At the time, none of the users nor Los Aldeanos knew who had sent the texts.

Juanes declined to share the stage with the dissident hip-hop group, but did give a “shout-out” to it after his performance and posed for photos with the group.

The Real Reason Why Slavery Ended

You know for years it was taught to me that slavery ended because all of a sudden the American government got a conscious and decided to end slavery! It had ended in europe and the north was abolishing it, with the exception of Missouri and Delaware which remained a slave state til the end of the civil war! We were all taught that Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves with his gettysburg address and that this great white man was responsible for it. In truth this is the crap that's been sold to the African American people and we fell for it again. This was not the reason slavery ended. Let me lay it out for you.

First off it was God who set us free. He even set this country against each other because the southern states steadfastly REFUSED to stop the slave trade! This lie that the Civil War was about representation in congress was a satanic lie concocted by the white establishment in the south and has gone on for after the war Abraham Lincooln refused to do what needed to be done; and that was round up the leaders of the rebeol states and have them put to death! Ironically though he refused to kill them they killed him and all of his supporters the first opportunity they got! For indeed it was a wide conspiracy to kill Abraham Lincoln, and to say that John Wilkes Booh was a lone conspirator is to say that lee harvey oswarld was responsible for President' Kennedy's murder! The leaders of the rebel criminal southern states were behind Abraham Lincoln's murder for since they lost the war they thought to kill him and his supporters to protect themselves! But it was God who set us free for we are not Africans in the truest sense. We are Hebrew! Yes we are the chosen people of God who were being punished and God brought us from out of bondage even causing a nation to go to war to do it!

Next, the main reason for the abolishment of slavery is that something new had began to happen.  At least it wasn't 'new' for the word slave is a derivitive of Slavic for the slavic people were often sold as slaves, thus the word as we know it today! YOu see from slavs to slaves?!!? Yes that's the origin of that word but here's what happened! Other nations had started grabbing europeans and selling them as slaves in the middle east and the orient! Yes! This they have kept from us for over 100 years! They were being captured and sold as slaves too! YOu see the market for African slaves had dried up as Kings and chiefs who found out what was going on in the Caribbean and the Americas (NOt just the United States) they refused to sell anymore AFricans to europeans or Arab slave traders! So north AFrican and Arab slave traders started grabbing the whites and selling them! By then because of the enmity other nations had towards the europeans white slaves became highly prized! In fact American slave traders found out about it when their ships dockecd in African countries looking to grab some AFricans to sell as slaves, the crew of white men were grabbed and sold into slavery themselves in various countries in Arabiia and Asia! Some managed to escape and put the word out about what was going on now! So it was okay for them to dish it out but they coudlnt't take it! That's when slavery had to end! You see it's a lesson the whitebois haven't learned yet; when you do evil God will reward you with the same evil you put out. In other words you shall reap whatever it is you sow!!! And they think it's unfair that they reap what they like to sow; they like to do evil but they don't want it coming back on them. That's why they don't want any non-white countries to have nuclear arms for you notice they didn't drop the bomb on nazi germany, but on Japan. That decision was based on race; they didn't want to test it on white people  but since they viewed the Asians as inferiors too, it was easy to decide in favor of Japan over germany. But you see when you do evil, God repays you with the same sort of evil. The Evil of Gangsta' or Whateva' Rap Music

Now it's time to deal with the one subject that I've been putting off for far too long; and that is this evil satanic rap music that's ruining our young people and helping to destroy the world! I know people like to figure that music has no power and that if you're strong enough you'll be able to resist the evil message and just enjoy the music! WROOOONNNNNNNGGGGGGG! This music is so evil and has proven so influential especially in corrupting our youth that the cia uses it to try an corrupt the youth of other countries to turn against their governments! NOw if the cia one of the most evil organizations on the planet uses it in their arsenal of overthrow government kits, you know the crap is evil! The irony of the whole thing is that rap didn't start out that way!

Black in the day rap started out as a form of self-expression for the frustrations of Black people living in the inner city. NOt being able to find jobs, living in substandard housing, racism (new york is one of the most racist cities I've ever seen; Chicago too and that's a trip being Chicago was started by a Black man) and as a force of self-empowerment for African American people! Back in the beginning rap music talked about this stuff and focused on more POSITIVE messages that would uplift the African American community! Rappers like KRS-1, Schooly D, DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince,  Public Enemy, and others galvanized the African American community and provided POSITIVE role models for our youngsters! This all changed though because of one group in particular; NWA! Now the irony is that NWA didn't set out to be negative necessarily; they set out to protest the abject racism they faced daily from the satanic los angeles police department who constantly oppressed and murdered African American people in L.A. Todd Bridges talked about how the lapd constantly harrassed and hassled him; it didn't help he was doing drugs, but plenty of whites do drupgs in L.A. too and the lapd don't hassle harass and murder them on a regular basis like they do the AFrican American community even now! Recently they hassled Dewayne 'the Rock' Johnson and told him his celebrity status didn't entitle him to any special treatment! Now Brad Pitt's celebrity status entitles him to special treatment, as does Jack Nicholson who's gotten busted for drugs often before, Lindsey Lohan, Corey Feldman, Charlie Sheen, and many other white celebrities who are treated with the utmost respect by these white pigs known as the los angeles police department! But these ignorant and stupid an racist pigs felt the need to tell the Rock that his celebrity status didn't entitle him to any special treatment! So why indeed should we give the popigs any respect?!!?  May God curse them and take them out so that they never again be a threat to anyone much less our communities! For in los angeles the kkkops are especially evil and racist! They deserve no respect! They don't represent the law, they represent satan, but I digress! Eitherway, the feud that wound up tearing NWA apart just go wacky as they recorded rap songs and videos putting each other down and other things they said just went viral and got crazy! The other thing that happened is that white record companies started going around buying up the small black labels that were producing the rap records and evil white producers started going to these acts who had made their bones already and telling them they weren't good enough 1)so they could get out of paying them what they were worth 2) to destroy the positive influence they were having on the youth in our communities! Encouraging them to read, get an education, and start their own businesses! Such ideas were a threat to the white establishment and they moved quickly to do something about it! That's why they started pushing gangsta rap and finding rappers who had no sense of responsibility towards their people! And like a mindless herd, we followed into it!!! And we've gotten so enraptured by it that when anybody tries an tell us the truth about how evil this artform is and how the servants of satan have taken it over and ruined it, we don't wanna' listen! They've built up this romantic fantasy about how 'exciting' life is in the streets and many of us don't want to wake up! Well let me help you; this is your Leader talking so pay attention!

There is nothing romantic about the 'streets'! Selling drugs is NOT an acceptable occuapation, in many countries (and soon will be in this country) this occupation will win you the death penalty!
