William Monre Trotter was the first civil rights activist to take direct action against the racist establishment especially when racist director created his racist piece of crap movie called 'birth of a nation'. This racist propeganda was often hailed as honkie d.w. griffith's finest piece of cinematic work. In this movie he made African American people villains trying to destroy America and the kkk are the heroes trying to save the white race from evil Black people. William Monroe Trotter a Black businessman from Boston and a civil rights activist protested the movie vehementlyh as the racist trash that it was. He went to the movie theater to try an buy tickets and the movie theaters instructed their staff to not sell to African Americans. He staged a protest right there in the lobby of the theater and naturally they called the white police who came and arrested him and his followers and threw them in jail! Typical, but what's ironic is that this direct protest action was some forty years before Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., yet I've never heard of this man before. They always made out like the white public decided that d.w. griffith's racist trash was the racist trash they didn't need and of their own volition they banned this intellectually absent trash! William Monroe Trotter's name never came up! Typical! Eitherway, I don't know why some hard tough brutha' didn't just do the world a favor and put a bullet through d.whitey. griffith's head? Nobody would have missed this racist piece o' shit!
