White House defends President Trump’s NFL feud as he keeps it going for fourth day, starts praising NASCAR

President Trump on Monday remained on the offensive against the NFL — with the White House now backing him up.
Trump kept gridiron grumbling running for the fourth day in a row,
starting his morning with yet another Twitter rant berating the NFL for
letting its players protest the national anthem.
His White House team was right behind him, with Press Secretary Sarah
Huckabee Sanders calling NFL players hypocrites and insisting Trump
didn’t cross any lines.
But sports stars continued to pile on Trump, and even New England
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady — one of Trump’s most prominent athlete
advocates — said he couldn’t let the President’s rant pass. Trump blasts NFL ratings on Twitter after day of protests
In a morning Twitter rant, Trump shamed the NFL by saying it’s not as
patriotic as NASCAR, which shut down any potential protests on Sunday.
“So proud of NASCAR and its supporters and fans. They won’t put up with
disrespecting our Country or our Flag - they said it loud and clear!”
